Yeah, I know Neck. They look rough but I'm telling you it only happened 4 times in 800 rounds and 99% time with PMC cases.

Weird.

Actually, let me correct my math since reloading is a precise endeavor.

It happened 75% of the time. 3 PMC cases and 1 Federal case.

Sorry for the hyperbole.

Well I wanna say this as politely as I can.

That machine came with setup instructions correct ? Instructions for setting the dies etc also ? Right ?

You read the instructions...more than once...very carefully

Chunk the PMC if its the only brass you are having an issue with

I could not do that to a 9mm case if I wanted to....well maybe if I wanted to....something aint right

Take your dies out and clean em and reset em..a lil at the time...more is not always better...flare em just enough to start a .356 9mm ez....roll crimp em..a lil at the time till you get it right....like 1/16 of a die turn at a time....I assume they screw in like a regular die

Good Luck with it man...I know its frustrating as hell

Yes, actually I did read the instructions and watched video on set-up.

I answered that as politely as I could.

Neck, obviously something is wrong and I will take your advice and set up again.

Thanks.

That only happens at not correct belling cases and if the bullets aren´t correct inserted to the cases. Have you measured the length of your cases? Wow, reloading S&B cases isn´t that what i like because they have a very tight primer pocket which costs sometimes a lot of primers.

I agree, just looks like not quite enough belling of the case mouth and maybe the bullet wasn't sitting straight enough when seated. It's probably not off much if it is happening that infrequently. I don't remember any problems with S&B brass. The 1050 swages the primer pockets though, but I don't remember it being an issue on the 550 either.

I think the PMC brass is too soft and that caused the problem with those specific cases.

I don't have problems with S & B cases either. In fact, my AOL is fairly consistent when just reloading them.

Mickey, I was having a similar problem. I increased the belling and it cleared up.
