SOTA arms???
Has anyone had any dealings with sotaarms.com ? I'm looking for a 6.8 upper and found these along with other caliber uppers. Seems to be resonably priced but I've never seen this brand before.

Never heard of them, but your right the do have some good prices on uppers, especially the 6.8 and 300Blkout.
I have been wanting to build a 300Blkout and using one of their uppers $439,a Surplus Arms lower $79(including tranfers fee), CMMG lower parts kit $60 and buttstock I already have I could build a complete rifle for little over $600 figuring in shipping, nobody sells a complete 300Blkout for anywhere close to that. I'm really interested in hearing about the quality of these uppers if anyone knows.

Re: SOTA arms???
I purchased a 7.62x39 upper from them last month. The price they list includes the shipping. The barrel is a Wilson barrel all components seem to be well made. It feed well with ASC mags. Using Tula ammo it had a 50% FTF rate. I turned the firing pin in a drill press and a small flat file and now have 0 FTF after 200 rounds. The upper is as accurate as my Colt 5.56 at 100 yrds in a lead sled. I just ordered the 300 blk out. BTW Karri's gun has lowers cheap. Same manufacturer that makes them for Spikes. I April they go down to $159.99. I assembled they are $149.99.

Got tons of complete lowers laying around here. I'm a lower whore. If I see one at the gun show I have to fight the urge to buy it.

Yeah the Lowers that Bunkerhill has are $100 and $135 complete. They are polymer however. But most semi pistols made now are too. Thanks for your input Buyusa! I look forward to your input too BigdaddyQ.

Yea, I canceled my order on 300 blackout yesterday with DSA. Thery were supposed to be shipped second week of Feb. but said it may be weeks or months before they get any. Think I may just build a 308.

Re: SOTA arms???
I purchased a polymer complete lower LW-15 from Joeboboutfitters.com made by New Frontier Arms if you use the coupon code "chatterbox" the total comes to $94.50 w/ FS. They claim they're stronger than plumb crazy. It was so cheap I couldn't pass it up. Karri's guns also has a complete 5.56 upper with a free float quad rail for $389.99 + $9.99 shipping for those looking to plink. It has a Wilson arms barrel like the SOTA Arms stuff. This is the cheapest free float quad I could find. Sota wanted $50 more to add a free float quad rail.

I didn't see that option for a free float. Thats a good deal most free float quads I've seen are in the $100 range. I got fed up with DSA also everytime I called they added a few weeks at first it was Feb 6th then it got to March 6th. I think they were full of it.

BigDaddyQ to get the quad from Sota you need to call them for it. It is not advertised on their site. I'm not sure who makes the quad. Rail. I went with their standard free float tube in the pic on their site. FYI mine didn't have the fluting as in the pic but it was close. I'm really happy with my purchase and I'm pretty picky. For the price you can't beat it.

Re: SOTA arms???
I called them yesterday and they called me back today. Really nice guys but they told me $60 for the quad rail. So I opted for it anyway. They said they have plenty of barrels in 300 blackout so I'm excited. He told me usually takes 3 days for assembly and then ships. So I should be holding it first of next week. Gonna buy some bullets this weekend and possibly a NV scope. Still waiting on Dixie to tell me they got everything done with their cans so I can start the wait on one from them.

Re: SOTA arms???
I received my NFA LW-15 polymer lower and I am no so happy. I should have spent $65 more for another surplus ammo upper from Karri's guns. The trigger pull is not so crisp. It's okay but not great. It looks good and the adjustable stock is nice.

Close,$551.00 I plan to reload the spent brass. The ROI is fast if you shoot a lot and it's a great deal.

Re: SOTA arms???
ROI? I probably will just buy the dies and expand the hundreds of 223's I have laying around. I already have plenty of 175gr bullets laying around too. I'm quite sure I can get those subsonic. Although i'll probably be buying some 220grainers soon.
