Savage Magazine Conversion?

Post by jbpmidas on Mon Apr 30, 2012 3:39 pm

I put together a Savage short action rifle and used an HS Precision Pro Series stock. I love this rifle! The one thing I would like to change right now is the feeding system. I'd like to convert it from the blind magazine to a regular magazine. The rifle is a staggered feed, 4.27" spacing model. The stock has the aluminum bedding block so that may make the conversion cost prohibitive. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated!

I have a 4 round mag that I can sell but it's a center feed. It works on my savage model 10 with the hs precision stock.

I have heard good stuff about CDI Precision. I plan on using their DBM if I ever get around to working on my 112.

Now that I'm at the office, I can post a couple more links that I don't have on my phone.

Sharp Shooter Supply - They carry several different DBM setups.

Badger Ordnance - Not sure if they carry Savage yet but it's worth a call. Have heard nothing but good things on their products.
