Lee .45 moulds, 230gr. RN, Tumblelube grooves?

Post by Hammer on Sun May 03, 2009 6:02 am

Does anyone here use the Lee aluminum mould for the 45 230 Gr.Rn bullets with the tumblelube grooves? I am considering getting a mould, and want some user opinions on this before I do it. I also would like to try a few of the bullets in my gun, if someone could spare a few for me to load up.

If things work out like I hope, I plan on getting a 3 cavity mould made. 1 cavity .40 cal. 180 gr. FN, one cavity .45 230 gr. RN, and one cavity .30 110 gr. RN for the M1 Carbine.

I don't know that mine meets "good range" status yet...Poor man's range....now when I buy those steel plates and poppers...well I'll be in business then.

Steel poppers and plates are MAJOR expensive right now...To get what I want to do is gonna set me back 2-3K

I can be a range buddy....any time!

DO a lot of searching on the net you can find some cheap steel. MGM is nice steel for a good price. THe precision bullets has a guy that makes targets that arent as nice for cheap. It is nice to have auto reset poppers though.
