The mall in Meridian use to have the sign posted up when I first got here almost 3 years ago. But after a few mall shooting across the US, the sign got pull. However the Movie theater in the Meridian Mall is a no carry zone.

I have only seen one legal sign in the last 3 years. It is at a gas station in Moss Point, MS. It is at the intersection of Main St and Jefferson Ave. It is a large sign at both doors. It is too bad because I will not be caught dead in Moss Point without my sidearm.

It used to be outside in the hallway by the take out window.

I speak of the one in Jxn not the one in Pearl

I bitched about it...maybe they took it down....it really was not an official no firearm sign as you are used to seeing with a red line through a handgun...

I was in the one in Pearl, I wouldn't got in the one in Jxn without a pistol, shotgun and a good vest. That's not a nice neighborhood. lol

Almost any mall will have a no firearms sign posted.....

I have not been in a mall in over 20 years...They have absolutely nothing that I can't get somewhere else...usually online
I dont consider the signs at the BC mall legit so I dont worry about it. I try to avoid the mall as well but my wife works there so I at least have to go to the parking lot sometimes to pick her up and if Im in a dark parking lot expecting my wife to walk across it alone, you can bet Im packin'.

Same here! I don't go to Tupelo, much less Barnes Crossing, without some backup. Way too crowded to risk it!

possum398,
I live in Ocean Springs. And work in Gautier. I stopped at that gas station once to drop off a guy that worked with me. And the only things in there that was white. Was ME & the milk. I was told by someone outside that "I didn't belong there."
I assured him my white _ _s wouldn't be back. no

Goodyear tire store on 25th Ave/Hwy 49 in Gulfport. The manager said it is a Goodyear company policy not his. It probably is as the sign is blue and yellow, Goodyear colors.

He informed me that if you had a concealed carry permit it was legal to carry inside, but you better do it well. If the police see you with what they believe is a gun, they will pull you to a side and just short of interrogate and incarcerate you.

Wrong. I was a security officer there at Northpark for 3 years, from 02-05, leaving as a shift supervisor. The mall is private property, and as long as the sign at the entrance (I know there's one at the entrance from Wheatly Rd) meets the legal qualifications, you can't carry inside. If you are seen with a weapon you will be banned from the mall for at least a year, maybe three years or indefinite. I don't remember.

BTW whos your friend? If he's been doing it for a while I probably know him.

Go ahead and add Kay jewelers at dogwood to the list. Along with all the others considering they're actually IN malls, which are typically no carry zones.

I went in their today with the fiancé to get her ring cleaned, in order to keep it under warranty it has to be done at a Kay once every 6 months, and saw on their window very clearly a big ol' list of things that were not allowed. Guns and weapons were clearly stated...so since I've actually started checking this was the first sign that was even close with the law, and I'd say it was dead on with it...and actually in pretty large writing too.

Ha now guess I'll have to search around for a Kay without one...maybe at turtlecreek in Hattie....cuz odds are I'd be carrying there anyway once my permit comes in.

A jewelry store, like a bank, just seems like one of those places where it's an obvious target....but whatever.....what do I know......

Come to think about it...was in St D's the other day and they did not have one up....at least on the Dr. office portion...did not go through the hopsital side

and the beat goes on

Toys R Us in tupelo has a legit sign on the entrance. This may not affect many of you but I go there rather often since I have kids.

If MP is still anything like I remember it, you may very well be caught dead there without a firearm.
