300 Blackout Complete upper

Post by jbpmidas on Tue Nov 27, 2012 8:57 pm

Who would you go with? I'd like to keep it around $700 or under. I'd like a 16-18" barrel and I want it to be accurate!

Not sure of prices but spikes or PSA would be as good as any.

Check out CMMG as well. Very good shooter and within that price range with free floated quadrail handguard and flat top.

That is a relative term................... Smile

Remember, the 300BLK uses a 223/5.56 bolt. You might find a good deal on an upper without BCG & CH......

Also, the 300BLK is a (about) 300yds max round. Or was that 400yds....... Smile

No matter......... I think the 300BLK brings a whole new level to the AR platform. I now have two 300BLK ARs, but neither have much (one any) range time................. Sad And Winter is coming........ that SUCKS.

Look at SOTA Arms. They sell complete 300BLK uppers (16") for around $480.

Oh yeah...... Check out Brad's Warehouse for processed 300BLK brass (made from LC brass). I think it runs about $45 for 250 pieces.

+1 for CMMG. Very pleased with mine.
But like SubGuns, it just doesn't make it to the range often enough.

Mine is cmmg also. The only problems I've had were that the rail wasn't tightened down so it got loose and the gas port was undersized. This was one of the very first so I believe the ports are bigger now.

Aac and noveske are great too, but $$$$$$.

I have no experience with these guys, but have been staring at this for a while.
They give a small price break when you buy the BCG/CH. My total 300 build so far is a little more expensive than that, without the handguard..

Second that! I just bought a 223/5.56 stainless upper from SOTA and I'm very impressed with the build quality, solid stuff. Good communication with them too.
