I've seen some boundary scrapes that the deer spent a lot of time on. I'm looking forward to the next full moon.

Why? Does this affect when the rut comes on?

I don't like the full moon as the deer feed all night... and bed down in the day - only time to catch them is first thing in the morning- seems like.

Just increased interest in does. Will stay out late chasing girls and make their way home a little late (oops) or get up after a nap a go check on some other girls. You remember. The boundary scrapes may get abandoned for a week or so during this time.

Ah, what you're saying is that the rut with the full moon is a good thing. OK gotcha. Makes sense.

The temp changes year to year, the moon cycle triggers the rut more so then temp to keep the drop time the same. The does should start smelling good after the next full moon, which keeps the boys up longer.
