Well the newbie fella....who I hope will join us here...as well as come shoot a match again was really digging my Glock 17...

Course He showed up with a Taurus 24/7 and 2 15 rd mags...putting him in Limited..so things went wild when at the last second we switched a bunch of stuff around...found some spare ammo etc etc so He could shoot production

But.... no one pulled the trigger but me...Just realized that I was so out of sync...that I did not even put on my shooting glasses.

That and weak hand on stage 2...the classifer of course drilled me...

Hard to get classified with a 0 score on a stage...

I need a re-do of the whole day.....it was a cluster...for me wall bash

Who wants to shoot steel at Magnolia this Sunday? We're having a match. 125 rounds and $5.00.

If you've never shot a steel match your in for a treat. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I love it when they set up a man on man.

Welcome to the sport of USPSA Jake! Now dont listen to all these 1911ites. Glocks are reliable and were designed this century! Modern technology. Cavemen used bones and sticks then came the 1911. Now we have Sigs, Glocks, and all kinds of other neat stuff. Funny

you can't have too many is for sure. just call it your retirement account. you can always sell guns if you need money b/c there are buyers always needing a new one.

As far as the guy getting dq'd when asked if he was ready, the RO's only command (per the new rule) should be "make ready".

That means no "do you understand...." or any of that other stuff.

Had I been there I would have mentioned the new ruling.

I had a good time at the match and will be back as time allows it.

As far as "make ready," that's all I want to hear but it's the shooters responsibility to listen for the proper command.

Agreed on the "Make Ready" command.

When I went to RO school (ok, I'm gonna look real old....) in1991, "Do you understand the course of fire?" was a command.

I know the RO we're talking about...he's been competing longer than I have. I'm just as guilty of the same thing. It's real hard to change something like that when it was engrained in your mind, but I'll work on it.

Will / Spanky, how is the new ruling worded? I want to find out so I can improve my game on both sides of the timer.
