Bug or snub nose match?

Post by Xd357 on Wed Jan 13, 2010 1:58 am

I would like to see a OS match where you use your bug or a snub nose rev. We all have them but do we shoot them on a regular bases. I know I need to shoot mine more often. We could have diff classes like autos, 6 shot rev,5 shot rev, all under a 3" barrel. Start from low ready to make it even.
What do y'all think?

You'd have to be pretty close to the steel and you would get a lot of fragments hitting you I would imagine.

Bugs are kinda designed for 5- 7 yards and in...I don't want to shoot steel that close in

Paper targets would be diff...Scores would be real bad I would imagine lol

ah you can shoot a bug further away that 7 yards. YOu just would want the 4-6 inch plates that they throw in the outlaw steel sometimes. 8 in plates and rectangles at 15-20 yards wouldnt be bad.

We could try this as a side match to gain interest. I think it would be fun.

Don't really think the distance would be that big of a deal. It's easy to hit poppers at 50 yards with a snub-nosed, but we wouldn't do anything nearly that hard. thumbs up

that's what I was thinking. Just design a match around it. We can't make it to easy it wouldn't be fun.

BUG = Back Up Gun..usually a very small pocket gun...hammerless snub nose...32 and 380 autos etc etc

OK...I'm in... Glock 17 qualifies don't it? No
