Well this course was most excellent. All that's left is passing the test...Open book
The USPSA instructor was great...Our Big Crowd of folks made it through the shooting portion fine this am. I can tell its gonna take a lot of practice to get proficient at scoring....Did not know that the guy keeping score is actually an RO as well and can score targets or assist....we don't really emphasize that point much at the local level.
I'lll be trying to pay more attention to the scoring from now on. I feel better trying to run someone now at the local match....
Next time this course comes around I hope to see some more new shooters out there. We had two young teenagers out there as well and they did fine.
Hat's off to John Heiter who hosted and to our instructor Troy....
Whole thing made me want to go to a BIG Match and or to Nationals....
Heck I might even try and shoot a BIG match once when they have it here in May...who knows......worst I can do is last

Well maybe not last if I'm there, thanks for turning me on to this. Lot of info but you might as well dive in as wade. Had a good time, showed how much I need to learn. Shooting on private land at whatever we brung is all I ever did. Everyone was nice and helpful, that fella from LA was a good enough instuctor to let you know he didn't know it all. That's a trait of a good teacher.

Got a chance to apply what I leaned today, RO-ing most of my squad at today's match. Definitely more to it than meets the eye. Had to assign a few procedurals as well, even had to decide if a guy had "signifigant advantage".
