CCW permit finally !

I just got back from the highway patrol I finally applied for my permit . How long has it been takin lately . I'm gonna be carryin my new to me Kel Tec PF-9. . . .kinda fired up about it ! Been meaning to do this for a few years now , gettin the gun motivated me.

mine took exactly 6 weeks but they say 45 days. so mark you calendar and in 45 days if you haven't received it call them and they will let you kow what is up. my roommate just got his and they some how mailed it to his old address when everything had the new address on it so he had to write a letter and get it noterized and they issued him one on the spot and 3 days later the original one showed up in the mail.

Congrats had mine for a few months and carry every where and that is with a full size USP 40 but will have a new carry gun here in two weeks and cant wait to get a new toy.

I love carrying, and believe you will to. It feels good to know, when I am out with my family, we will not be subjected to the will of others! It is very empowering, but also carries great responsibility. Good luck, and congratulations!

Great decision MHEAD ! Now for the wait. It will seem like forever. running to the mail box everyday for 44 days and then on the 45th its like Christmas!

Mine took exactly 45 days to show up.

Turned in all my stuff and paid the money this morning. I was told 6-8 weeks.

My experience at the local HyPo station was very pleasant. The officers were glad I was getting a license and had the same 2nd Amendment and political views as me. It took a lot longer to get fingerprinted than it should have since we sat around shooting the bull for so long, lol. Go get your permit YESTERDAY! Get the gun later. Especially if money is an issue, a decent pistol will run you 3-4 times as much as the license. Not to mention the fact that you may not be able to get a license for much longer If Eric, Barrack, Hilary, etc. have their way. Skyrocketing the permit app rate is another good way to fight back against those who would prefer to see us defenseless. Borrow $132 from your Mom or something, lol, I would!

mine took about a month and i sent mine off a couple days before christmas

My permit showed up yesterday ! Didn't even take 45 days .

I hear that they are getting sent out in as little as 21 days right now...can't remember where I read it...Maybe a DPS web site?

Man thats a quick turn around. Not like the 120 days I had to wait several years ago when I got mine.
