Concealed Carry in Overalls

Post by OleMissLawStudent on Sun Feb 10, 2013 7:49 pm

I play bluegrass music and wear overalls often. I was wondering if anyone else out there wears overalls and has figured out a good system of concealed carry. I currently pocket carry a PF-9 in a Remora holster, but I was wanting to see what other options y'all have used.

On YouTube there is one video the guy rigged up a holster with hooks to hang inside of the bib I researched this before for my pf9 and never figured out nothing thy worked. I carry a m&p 9c in my pants but it won't fit anywhere in my overalls. I traded my pf9 for a p3at and it goes right in my back pocket no problem I'm sure would fit in a bib pocket also.

I don't wear overalls, but I carry the p3at. I try to carry other stuff all the time, but the p3at carries so well in my front pocket that I just can't get away from it.

I am no help regarding the question, but do you play bluegrass in/near Oxford?

Maybe Old Taylor Grocery?

(Sorry to hijack.)

I haven't found a band to play with yet. I moved down here this summer to start law school. I've played a few gigs around Oxford, but mostly country stuff in bars. I've heard there's some bluegrass pickers around Jackson.
I've been to jams in Hernando and Water Valley.

I use to wear overalls. I carried my Colt 1991A1 Compact in the bib until I wore a hole in the bottom corner of the bib. No one ever noticed, probably thought it was a pack of Beechnut. Wink

I liked to listen to Adam Gussow, look em up and you might to. Caught 'em out on the intramural fields more than once playing his harp.

Kel Tec P3AT in the bib pocket. It's a perfect fit.

I used to get my neighborhood seamstress to sew a pocket to the inside of the bib and reinforce it with heavy-duty elastic at the opening. I could carry my full size 1911 there securely and no one ever noticed. Just keep the galloses tight and the bib won't sag.
Now, I carry my S&W 642 airweight there and sometimes forget it's even there.
