We all know there is nothing to compare the 1911 to. its tried and true standing all by it self on the metal pedestal. LOL

except brownings best and finest pistol, the HIGH POWER! makes a 1911 look like a model T ford when you open the hood
rotflmao

oh and glock for plastic. i bet croation police and military tote glocks!

Just got my Glock 23 and XD-9 back from gunsmith today...trigger work on both of them....There's no comparison...the Glock with a 3.5 connector is the hands down winner over the XD-9 as far as trigger...XD-9 trigger is mushy feeling to me...My Glocks are crisp...

Or maybe I'm just lucky and have good Glocks....

Browning HP is on my "hit list" to get...don't see very many of them any more

I saw a Browning HP in the crapper in the gas station by work. I told the lady to lock the door so they can finger print is (maybe). Well she lets a bunch of well guys in there to play with it. I guess some crook had it in their waist band and their diet plan didnt agree so they had to stuff it in the toilet paper holder and forgot it. thumbs up

I just put a Springer Precision trigger kit in my XD service model. Its much much better. very little pretravel, no overtravel breaks clean and crisp. Only took me 2 hours with a small file and a dremel to polish everything.

That video is hilarious . I traded my Hi-Power for my XD-m .I know that was dumb but I had to have something for IPSC , I sure do miss that gun . After that I decided I would never trade a gun for another I would just wait till I could buy it . . . .I have only traded one other gun since then. It's real hard for a poor man to get new guns.

What did you do to yours?
I started out by polishing all the engagement faces and that helped a lot.

The long reset is what i wanted to get rid of and the SP trigger kit did just that.

I got it down to around 3 lbs or so. And have a lot of the travel taken out of it.
Haven't had any problems or safety issues yet.

OMG! That video was hilarious... HiPernt...You gotta love it. rotflmao

This question is sort of like asking if someone prefers beer or wine... It depends on the meal. I have found that I am more model specific than brand specific. Any given model of a brand may or may not make the cut for me. In general, I personally like the feel of the XD better but only slightly and not enough to keep me from having a Glock. It also depends on what purpose I'm trying to fulfill. I can't stick any Glock or XD in my pocket like I can a Ruger LCP. But if I were in a major exchange of fire I'd take any Glock or XD over the LCP in my pocket.

Glock. Hands down; no contest. Unless you have grown up with that 1911 "feel", the Glock is just better.
