I think when you take them apart and look inside them, one would likely consider the Glock to in fact be better than the XD. As usual, just my opinion.

I have Glocks, XD and XDM

The Glock wins in my book...right now I can't stand my XD, the trigger is horrible

I like the XDM because it feels a lot better in smaller hands due to being able to use smaller grip panels.

My biggest problem with a Glock is the fat grips

Man if I could find someone local to do a good Glock grip reduction that would be sweet

I just can't see how you say one is better than the other, As this is your opinion. They all have their good points for different for people.

i saw that the "next" generation of glocks will have the exchangeable back strap.

i'm not sold on this new, multi piece polymer grip fad. hard enough to bet your life on polymer, then add snap together joints, makes me nervious. my concerns are not based on any evidence, only a gut feeling.

I say Glock as well. Its what I like just like one may drive a Ford and I drive a Chevy. I think mine is better and you think yours is better. We can beat the horse until it is just a greasy spot in the road and not settle the issue b/c everbody has his/her opinion on whats better. Neck and myself say Glock. You say XD, heck Slabs says 1911 and it ain't even a choice. LOL.
Good quality discussions. it healthy for the mind.

Polymer is a strong material. A dry 1911 can jam up too. Revolvers can be out of timing. Its best to just have many lines of defense from multiple guns to knives etc.

I don't own a Glock, but I do have an XD and love it. Looks like I have an excuse to buy another gun so I can do a comparison. Smile

I have been thinking the same thing. I have the XD 4" in .40. Thought about going ahead and getting a Glock to do a side by side comparison.

XD, I'll push a Glock everyday cause I believe in them. I can be worse than a nascar driver about his sponser when it comes to Glock and they have never paid me a dime. Eventhough I've called them before for freebies and they always came through. If u believe in a product you will push it too. I like seeing people happy.
Next. keep the kickin going.

I have worked my way through my guns over the past year and gotten rid of my CZs (too heavy), 1911 (too heavy), and kept nothing now but Glocks (except for one XD45 which is on its way out as soon as I figure out how to sell it best).
