Re: Glock or XD
next time you go to the range look for somebody with an XD and try it. You will wonder what all the fuss is about. I will leave it like that. Just try it.

Re: Glock or XD
I too wondered what all of the XD fuss is about. I have decided that if one has "grown up" with 1911-type pistols, the XD is liked because it has a similar hold/feel to it. I did not. My first handgun was a Colt Python and then there were Glocks. I find the Glock every bit as accurate as any other pistol (including Kimbers and Colts in 1911). The XD "mystique" is, I believe, a carry-over from 1911 folks.

Re: Glock or XD
IMO, most guns are pretty accurate out of the box now. 1911 has its followers and there are thousands of them. I have nothing against the 1911 owners. I love the Glocks and they have many followers as well. XD's are good quality and accurate out the box. I don't believe XD will ever get the fan base numbers like Glock has or the LEO following.

Re: Glock or XD
Well, if you're interested in shooting an XD, I'll probably be going to Turcotte next weekend. Mine's a .45 but you're welcome to run a few through it if you're interested.
I've fired glocks and 1911s and a few revolvers, I like my XD. It's not "Perfect", but then again, what is (NOT GLOCK!)? It's a pretty good shooter. I mainly sprung for it for the stainless slide, the 10 & 13 rd mags, and the lifetime warranty. The warranty was the big selling point. That and a police officer friend recommended it over a glock... I took his word and haven't regretted it yet!

Re: Glock or XD
Beretta ??????????? They ain't even in the same class as these two fine handguns. Yes, the Gov't issues a Beretta to our troops, but C'mon Man. (whoops "lady")
All raise your hand for Glock "I see plenty"
Now, all raise your hand for XD "There some there"
Lastly, all raise your hand for Beretta "could you please stand" "I can't seem to see yall over the others"
J/k we beating this thread to death, so keep it going some more. where you at XD, 'neck, Hammer Yall bring on some more for the longest lasting thread to carry you know it is neverending and I'll stand on the Glock side with all my Glock-O-Holics. Looking over at the XD-E-Nites casting stones for a win.

I hate how things change over night, I probably won't be at the range after all.
But the RTF2 grip is nice.... so are the Gen 4's I wouldn't mind having a G36 in either.

I'm with Rob. RTF ain't my cup of tea. Can't speak on RTF2 Gen4, b/c I have yet to test fire one. seen them, but don't know anybody that has one.

yeah, we waiting for you to bring on some more.
ree__ I Knew that. The PX4 is an alright pistol, I just don't care for Beretta much. BTW, I nearly bought one once.
Will somebody Mid-State Please go shoot Nonnies.... XD, I would, but quite a drive.
