Re: OutLaw Steel Match This Saturday at Magnolia!
Well, that was an interesting match. I actually had to put tinted shooting glasses on to stop the glare from the snow!
Hard to believe 18 shooters came out in weather like that, but steel is a lot of fun. 6 stges and 150 rounds.
Garett was hot on stage 6...waaaayyy up the chart on that one.
Leland was tearing it up with that .22 Buckmark.
Don't forget about the ICORE match coming up. You can shoot your autos in it, if you want. The club also has a loaner revolver with belt gear and speedloaders at no charge. Just bring factory 38 special. and you're set.
ICORE is a good place to ease into USPSA shooting. A litte less movment, and not quite as complicated. Some steel, paper and a few walls and movers. Easy stuff, not hard at all.
Scott should have the scores out today.
Thanks for coming out in the weather. Turnout was way up...even beyond anyone's expectations. Bring a friend next time if you can.

Neck,
Scott was the MD this time... We're taking turns, and anyone is welcome to take one...
We need input from everyone!!! You too! Send some stage ideas and let's use them. That goes for all the new shooters out there.

Re: OutLaw Steel Match This Saturday at Magnolia!
I'll try to post the stage times next but they are difficult to make the format appear correctly. Thanks everyone for coming out, the turnout in such bad conditions were beyond my expectations. We had 9 shooters last month in the Arctic temps between 14-16 degrees and this month we had 18 shooters at 25 degrees, with snow, and most of the range was ice when we started. Thanks for all of your support and enthusiasm in getting there early and helping set up. The scores are straight when I post them but they get all scrunched up when they post. My apologies in advance.

Re: OutLaw Steel Match This Saturday at Magnolia!
I have to agree with Scott. The set-up help was great! We had the shooter's meeting and new shooter clinic done early with the match starting at 8:55 AM.
Tear-down went well also.

Dont sweat it MattC...I got beat by a teenage girl...
It just goes to show you folks...You think you are a pretty good shot till you shoot with some of these folks...
Don't judge a book by the cover...
That book might just LIGHT YOU UP

Re: OutLaw Steel Match This Saturday at Magnolia!
Thats right. Its all about evolving as a shooter and learning new tecniques. I did an hour long session with Cliff almost a year ago and he took the time to let me know EXACTLY what I was doing wrong. In that hour I brought my groups from 6 shots in a 7.5 in group at 7 yards to 6 shots in a 2 in group with 4 shots in the same hole! Well worth the price. I reccomend Cliff to anybody that wants to give his class a try!!Xd357 wrote:MattC8444 wrote:I came in dead last, how embrassing.

Don't be. At least you had the guts to come give it a try. Most folks never take the plunge. Your matches will only get better.
