BBQ Gun ....

Post by scooterbear on Thu Jun 27, 2013 8:43 pm

With outside carry starting next week, I just realized that I need a BBQ Gun for the 4th of July. Texas has the right idea  with carrying nice guns when getting together with friends.
So, it seems like a new gun should be in order. I think something classic like a 1911 or a S&W or Colt revolver. Then some nice leather from Eaglestroker.

Does anyone have a BBQ Gun?
I’m dreaming about something along these lines, dressed up in nice leather…..

My name is Eaglestroker, and I approve this message. thumbs up

That is a beautiful Smith. One day I'll own an engraved revolver one day. I've made one or two rigs I'd consider bbq worthy but I sure don't have the guns for 'em.

I like the looks of that 1911. The new era of poly guns just don't stack up to the old steel guns when you start dressing them up for the BBQ.

22lrfan,

The one with the scope is 357 Max 10" barrel and the 8" barrel is 445.
Couldn't figure out how to get the picture inserted like the others.

I had a member on here ask me about a Sheridan carved rig. I have the carving portion of it farmed out due to lack of interest/folks willing to pay for it. Frankly I forgot I had it as it doesn't get used often.

Since you guys seem to like the guns made for Rangers, here's one my gunsmith built for a US Marshall a year or so ago. The grips were made by a prisoner in one of the federal facilities down there.

I found these holsters in the back of my closet. This is not a custom rig like Eagestroker would make. The guns are just plain jane shooters.
