Yeah, my next gun will be a 1911, even if I have to buy a RIA one. I'm going to give 1911's another chance just because I love the "crap your pants" factor when looking down the barrel of one.

dont let that compensator get you all starry eyed, for $1000 you could get a used Les Baer which any sane human being would take over even a new kimber any day.

Hey brother where do you shop? I want some $1k used customs.

i found it at a pawn shop near where i live.

The muzzle of a 1911 does indeed have a place among the intimidation heiarchy, much like the racking of a 12 ga pump or seeing the bullets in the cylinder of a .357 mag from the business end pale . nothing says "you f***ed up" quite like those 3 things.

Although I would not suggest counting on the "crap your pants factor" when the SHTF. By the time they realize you intend to defend yourself they should be horizontal and your ears should be ringing

I'll take my Springfield SS GI .45 anyday (in fact I do) but the Sigma shouldn't get such bad reviews. Mine jammed on 2nd round from gun with an inline spent casing holding open slide (may have been me 'cause it is so light) but I cleared and went back to work with it. Yes, trigger needs some improvement but after 500+ rounds of FMJ and HP she is smoothing up and no problems. When first brought to range I took 2nd mag and lined up at the plates and 1st one lost in an instant ( I decided then I like her). No it won't shoot as accurate as many but concentrate on correct shooting and not the trigger and it will work. SW9VE. Latest accepted round-147gr Golden Saber..Hint: Handall grip

My two cents! I'd rather have a used Glock than a new Sigma. I've sold many of the Sigma Enhanced pistols, and haven't seen any come back. The ergonomics are good, but as stated before the trigger is HEAVY. They aren't a bad value when you can get them on sale. They run promotions like getting two extra mags when you send in a copy of the 4443 and reciept.
