Renewing an out of date Firearms Permit... got questions
My Firearms Permit expired back in September... yes, it was on purpose, had just started a new business and could NOT spare one dime for anything other than living expenses..... Anyway, anyone know if I can renew through the mail or do I just need to reapply? I want to get this done in the next week as the day to do that in Meridian is on Tuesday.
Would appreciate any insight!

Thanks! Just realized I had posted it in the wrong place.

You better hurry and get it renewed or your going to have to start all over again.
c)
A licensee who fails to file a renewal application on or before its expiration date must renew his license by paying a late fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00). No license shall be renewed six (6) months or more after its expiration date, and such license shall be deemed to be permanently expired. A person whose license has been permanently expired may reapply for licensure; however, an application for licensure and fees pursuant to subsection (5) of this section must be submitted, and a background investigation shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of this section.

I'm on it as of tonight and will go to the Highway Patrol office on Tuesday. Thanks on the help with that!

Alright, got it taken care of today, new license in wallet and good until 2015. Cost $97 total... not really sure where that amount came from but it's still cheaper than a first time license so I'll take it.

There's a $15 late fee for renewing AFTER the expiration date. No grace period.
