They definitely run a great match out there. I'd go more if it weren't the same weekend as EAPS (which is 10 minutes from me) in Gonzales.

I'd like to shoot again with you Spanky. Might pick up a thing or two. You are a pretty good shooter and use a Glock to boot. I am still in learning mode. Come back over any time.

Hell, I'm still in learning mode too. I'll be back down if my home club keeps raining out.GunOneDown wrote:I'd like to shoot again with you Spanky. Might pick up a thing or two. You are a pretty good shooter and use a Glock to boot. I am still in learning mode. Come back over any time.

Gentlemen, it was a pleasure meeting and shooting with all of you as well. Enjoyed the ride down with 45man also. Hope I can make it back again soon, and maybe the weather will be a little bit better next time. I have definitely shot in a lot worse and at least we stayed dry, but it was a little chilly today and I wasn't exactly prepared for it.
As a bit of a thread drift, Gunny, we discussed a rule today and I wasn't exactly certain about the answer. As luck would have it, yesterday I received the little card in the mail saying I had 30 days to take the online test to renew my RO certification. I decided to sit down and do it tonight and one of the questions happened to be almost identical to what we discussed. It was basically whether a match director may specify that competitors are prohibited from taking loaded sight pictures after the Make Ready command. I looked through the rulebook and ended up answering it correctly in the negative. The correct rule in support is 8.7.1. Rules are here if anyone would like to take a look at 8.7.1 If there is a newer rule prohibiting loaded sight pictures after the Make Ready command, I couldn't find it, but I am not saying it definitely doesn't exist. If they are testing on it though, I think it is doubtful (or at a minimum, a poor choice of test question).
Sorry for the thread drift. For everyone that hasn't yet made a match in Pearlington, they put on a good one and you should try and make it sometime.

Thanks Bryant.
Scores are posted on USPSA site. I would post, but we all shot in different divisions, so it would get long. MS14 is our club #.
I can tell you though DB won Limited10, I finished 4th in Limited, BigSig 9th in Prod, Geaux68 8th in Prod, 45Man 2nd in SS (I think, can't remeber his "real"name), and I know I have forgotten a couple other members, so add if you choose to do so.
Good match, but sure missed "run and gun".
