10/22 Hi Cap Mags

Post by sidroski on Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:28 pm

Didn't see this posted. One of my "guns to buy" is a 10/22 receiver and build one. What 25-50 round mags have ya'll find that work and hold up. They make anything to speed load them with? I've seen the gamut of opinions on them. What's the best place to buy them from?

A friend of mine had a powered loader for the mags, though I don't remember the brand. On the mags, make sure you get them with steel feed lips. I bought a cheap 25 rounder once, and wore it out in one good day (somewhere between 500-1000 rounds)!

Check out Tactical Innovations http://www.tacticalinc.com/ everybody on rimfirecentral.com swears by their mags.

Butler Creek makes a 25rd one "hot lips" magazine that works really well too.

+1 for steel lip butler creek

Once in a while they would misfeed on the first shot or two. I fix that by not loading the last two rounds. Works perfect that way.

The aluminum mags from Tac. Inc. are sexy! But the price....
