gun shows..

Post by dhollis51 on Sun Feb 28, 2010 10:24 am

What about permit holders carrying at the gunshows at the trademark? Can you wear it there or not? I can't remember and never payed attention. Can you unload it at the door and out your mags in your pocket?

Concealed is concealed. I wear mine at the gunshow in Tupelo. There are no signs stating I can't though.

The Trademart is a State owned building and I don't think you can carry there.

Yeah well, like the man said, "concealed is concealed". If anyone knows you are carrying, you are doing it wrong. Razz

I pay GFZs very little attention unless it is a courthuse or police station. There is already loaded guns in the hands of good guys to protect me in those places.

When you step foot on the fairgrounds...and that includes the Trade Mart and Coliseum...you are on State of MS property...No only that...There are signs at the check in that say ALL firearms need to be unloaded. Now do you have to tell em you got a loaded one in your pocket?...That's up to you....depends on what your definition of LOADED is..I know some keep a loaded mag in the pocket with the gun empty...It can be made ready quick enough if needed.

We've had enough accidental discharges at gun shows thank you very much...its very un-cool...Yes they've mostly been by dealers and not private citizens carrying.

Just got back from the Jxn one and it was deads-ville.....got a couple 30 cal ammo cans for $6 each..went mainly to shoot the breeze with Big D, Hammer,bubbat...met Irish there

one did follow me home however...its been on the "hit list" for several years...Ruger SP-101 in 327 Federal....thought the wife might like it after she gets some training roll eyes

Why in the hell would a dealer have a loaded gun at their table?!?!? If we are talking about their carry piece, it should stay in it's holster the whole time, anyways.

Stupid people everywhere, we are so outnumbered.

It has happened more than once...I've ranted about it before...Once was a dealer's personal weapon...He was asked to leave. I can't remember who was responsible for the other one in recent history in Jxn...but it was not a firearms permit holder...I think these folks are some of the most responsible citizens we have...They have their sh!t straight

Anyway it has happened more than once...Lots of concrete for a round to ricochet off of

no OT

Did not happen across one...but I was not on the "prowl" for one either.

I have an old Charter arms off duty...nice small 38 snub...mostly a safe queen these days

'Neck
Give us a report on the 327 vs. a 38+p. Is it a 6 shot since it is a smaller caliber? I gave my daughter my colt 38 snubby 6 shot and my wife's 38's are only 5 shot so I might get her one if it has
How the ammo priced vs. 357's and 38's since I assume you don't have the dies for the 327? I know the ammo dealers have been in short supply at the shows that I've been to lately.
Ruger makes as well built a revolver as anyone IMHO, good choice.

I can find 327 Federal ammo...not too much trouble

Near 357 Mag performance....lots less recoil...good for the ladies

32 H&R on steroids six shot

Can also fire 32 H&Rs and 32 S&W Longs in it...so it is versatile

Nice meeting you folks you folks yesterday... yeah the gunshow really wad deadsville.... I got another 10rd magazine for mine, and some rounds... that was it. Didn't see a holster I liked so I didn't get one.

Hopefully it'll pick up as the year progresses and dealers will have more/better stock.
