Well, I'm still at work. I had to work extra this hitch because of a training school.

I had my brother-in-law take my gun by the shop where it was purchased to let their smith look at it. They said they would get it taken care of. I guess I'll find out more when I get back in.

I own a S/W M&P 15-22. And like it. It is picky about the cheap bulk ammo sometimes. With better ammo its never had a hiccup.
I've put a front grip and an attached fold up bipod on it.
Accurate, fun, and even better- cheap to shoot.

Any news on the status of your rifle yet?

I forgot to update this.

I got the rifle back when I got home from work last time. The guy at the gun shop said everything was still there so he just removed the cartridge that was stuck in there and put it all back together. He fired it several times and it worked good. I took it and shot about 200-300 rounds through it while i was at home, and I encountered no more problems. Just a few FTFs and FTEs which is probably just my cheap bulk ammo.

Interesting picture of the out of battery casing. Did your friend check to make sure the firing pin wasn't sticking forward for some reason. I haven't taken the bolt apart on one yet, or to see if some powder residue or other crud could lock it forward.
