Anthill casting

May be more fun than casting bullets, outside of the shovel work.

I noticed the sandy area that he was digging in also. I don't think Id try it in this hard dirt I live on either! But that is pretty cool.

Those are amazing. I had no idea that ant mounds went that deep.

I would like to see what a fire ant mound looks like. Better yet, every fire ant mound needs to be cast.

And it shows why sprinkling a little Orthene around the top does not actually kill all the mound. They just move a little.

Neat though.

And I think that was fire ants.

dad did that with lead about 20 years ago.. it was shallow and he just used it as shop decor lol

I will tell you my fire ants don't like boiling water. It is environmentally safe and the little boogers don't seem to appreciate it. I hope it hurt like when they bite me!!
