I saw several RIA base guns at the show today for $399. Saw some Metro Arms for the same price.

YOull never get rid of it just try to narrow it down and pull the trigger at the right time. It looks like you know how to shoot considering the length of the gun and that group.

best Ive seen was about $350 on a RIA at a pawn shop. Most 1911 owners are reluctant to part with them (Ill sell you mine for $9000 USD Smile ) so things like pawn shop finds are rare, gunbroker has alot of 1911s but the majority of them are semi customs and customs (read:not cheap) but it wouldnt hurt to check there anyway.Checking with the guys on 1911forum.com might be a good idea since they know everything about 1911s but as has already been stated youll have to wade through a good bit of snobbery to get to the good info.

Bellshire Guns on Gunbroker has RIA 1911s $380 Full size, $390 Compact and $400 Commander, all with free shipping. Sarco Inc has full size RIAs for $349+ shipping($15-20) and 38 Super RIAs for $369 in their Shotgun news ad.

If you go check with 1911forum skip the general forum and go to the "Other 1911" to get good info.

I've bought from Sarco before, they get only $15 to 20 for shipping to your FFL, and they are advertising new RIA's for $349 (GI), $369.99 (Compact), and $405.99. Pretty good buy... might have to reach for the compact version myself soon...
