SMGA Gun Show

Post by rdj94a on Sun Mar 14, 2010 6:46 pm

I would like to thank all that attended, I have been helping run this show over 10 years. Our club goal is to always put on a traditional gun show. That means that we try our very best to book dealers that sell guns, parts, knives period. We have nothing against anyone selling anything else for a living. What we need to hear is feedback, realizing of course that you rarely find Walmart deals any where any more. The new hall has made it nearly impossible to do traditional concessions, however we will work on it.

It was a good show. Better than the last two at the Colosium.

I always like the shows at the community center better than the ones at the Coliseum. My buddy found primers, finally.

I was pleasantly surprised to find down to earth, realistic prices on a few firearms & ammo that I was interested in. 95% of my firearms & accessories are purchased online nowadays.
Until this show I had all but sworn off gun shows due to price gougers who had lost touch with their real customer base while looking to score quickly on panic buyers.

Thanks for a good show. I'll be back with more money next time for a new 1911.

Thanks for the comments, we try really hard to remain one of the last true gun shows. A lot of vendors are mad at us because we don't let them set up. We would appreciate it if everyone can help us spread the word. Our next show will be 18/19 September Same place.

It sounds like I need to make the trip. If it is like a real old school gun show.

Yall all need to come to the next for sure. If you need powder or primers, Tom will be there again and no HAzardous Shipping cost...
RDJ has some nice blades as well. Gun prices were pretty good comparible to store prices, but most would move around like they use to. People go to the show looking for a deal and you could have found it if you looked.
I met a couple of our members too. One was even sporting a MSGO shirt.
GOOD SHOW RDJ.

We were established for years as the best Gulf coast show, then like so many other Katrina casualties we had to rebuild. Many of our supporters have moved away. Please help us pass the word, we are working hard for all Gun owners. thanks javascript:emoticonp('thanks')
