Well a dream came true today....

After almost 30 years...a dream of mine came true today. The wife (whom I've been married to for almost 26 yrs) and my daughter (who will be 14 this week) took some handgun training today with Cliff. Man I wanted to be there so bad to watch. Neither of them had ever fired a handgun of any type before...so they had no bad habits

I hear they did pretty well. My hope is that they learn enough to be comfortable with a revolver and a Glock semi-auto. These are my most prevalent handguns. If they can feel comfortable checking the guns, loading, unloading and shooting them well at defensive distances then I will be really really pleased.

Cliff is an excellent teacher and they even told me they had fun...which next to safety, is the most important thing.

If the "significant others" in your life desire some really good firearms training....pm Cliff...

I am glad to hear they shot. I think everyone should train hard especially women.

Once I can take her to the range and she can pick one or two, I'll get w/ Cliff about her taking some lessons (If I ever get my range package Dan. JK, I am chomping at the bit to get out there).

congrats neck. Now you can buy some more Glocks for them to use. get you a couple Cerakoted and you'll be good to go.

Congrats!! Cliff helped my wife tremendously in the comfort level of things. Let em shoot some steel and thier hooked.

They had a great time.....Loved the revolvers...not so much the Glocks 17 and 34 but they only shot about 50 rds out of the semi's.

I feel better now that at least if something where to happen while I'm away...they'd have a fighting chance with a S&W 686

Congrats...My wife of 30 years did just the opposite..She shot matches with me when we first got married, and now wont go with me because of 11 Grandkids...go figure...I have trained 8 of them, so all is not lost..

I remember when my wife FINALLY agreed to learn, she was scared of the handgun, scared of having accidents, etc, etc.... Now, she craves getting to practice and loves it!

I bet you wife and girl will too... it'll be a new family activity!
