My First Batch

Post by cwink on Thu Mar 18, 2010 9:30 am

Got my first batch done.. I loaded 50 rounds of 6mm Remington using IMR 4895 and the 85 grain Barnest Triple X bullet.. Didn't take a long as I thought and was easier than I thought it would be.. Now to get them out and test them..

Nice job. One thing I learned when I first starting relaoding though was to only load 5 or 10 rounds of the same load to test before I loaded a bunch. Save me alot of time when I did that. sniper

A friend of mine in college reloaded alot, and the handiest tool he had when he first started was a bullet puller!

I usually load 10-15 of each batch.. i use to load about a hundred for my .22-250 and if they didnt shoot good then i was stuck with them cause i didnt know what a bullet puller was Mad
Maybe thats why my barrel is burnt out.. hum.

Now that ive learned alot about accurately loading in the past 6 years. if i cant get a good group with 15 rounds then i havent wasted much.
