Yup, but that was a lot of $$ in '47...folks didn't make $10 an hour back then either LOL. I remember looking at a repo 1909 Sear catalog when I was a kid, and telling Dad how I wished I lived back then so I could buy all those cheap guns...until he told me what the average wage was in the early 1900s. Shocked

I purchased M1 Carbine for $20 in 1965, a 1903-A3 new in 1960 for $32.00 and ammo for both for $.03 per round. in 1965. Not that long ago.

In 1965 I was 11...they wouldn't let me buy one then either. lol
