You managed to clear the festering hordes of walking dead from your front lawn...or at least kill the ones in the immediate area and as the smoke clears you hear the undeniable clamor of chaos coming from down the road towards town. Your throat tightens and your stomach ties into a knot around your heart which just sunk into the space you stomach previously inhabited as you realise that: the sh1t has hit the proverbial fan. A quick glance to your tv which is convienently tuned in to the local news' special broadcast that interrupted your favorite soap opera confirms your fears as the clean cut, over paid "sausage link" in a cheap suit states that "society has collapsed" shortly before a zombie ambushes him and devours him which is both mildy amusing and deeply disturbing.You are quite sure now that this is due to whatever caused the dead to rise but you dont have time to sit and ponder the cause , you just know you need to get the hell out of dodge...and quick! because "town" isnt safe anymore...and you live in "town"...after you gather your family you grab....

do you have a bug out bag? if so whats in it? if not, why not?

On another note - Most of my ammo stash is in my truck, I grab the gun, the wife, the kids, some blankets and all the non-perishables I can carry in a large SUV, and tear out for the mountains. I'd kinda like the beach for "vantage point" benefits (you can see them coming, they can't come from behind) but most beaches have the unfortunate side effect of being in/near very populated areas. Oh! It'd be great to steal a plane and make it to Hawaii or the like.

On a side note, I read through "ZOMBIES!!!!" (part one of this thread) and I found myself laughing hysterically cause it caused me to imagine myself blasting my way through MJs thriller video..."Its after miiiiid niiiite and somethings..." *BANG* ('sploded MJ) its just humorous to me, maybe I am a bit twisted but still, just imagine it.

As a matter of fact I do have Bug Out Bags...one for 72 hrs and one for longer

Ha. Yeah, I got a disaster preparedness kit but really need to redo it due to some changes in the family (for the good, the old lady ain't kicked me out yet).

I used to smoke stuff like that when I was just a lad.
