Taurus PT101-P

Post by Buff on Mon Mar 29, 2010 4:26 am

.40 Cal, 16 +1, all metal. Bought at Academy for 299.00. Shot it Saturday: 180 rounds, no feed issues, no ejector issues, recoil OK. Magazines a bitch to load 16, think I'll just keep 15 loaded. May have a new HD gun. Seems like a good deal for the money.

Where are the pictures. We need gun pics. Show it in action or someone will surely accuse you making this up just to get your post count higher.

Congratulation. I have two Taurus rifle but none of their handguns. I've gotten great service from mine.

Mag-Lula is your friend. Works on most mags and is easy to use. I just bought a 40 myself and after 300 rounds I likt the caliber.

How does it shoot? Did you go back to Academy and get that Mag Lula yet? I got the universal model, don't remember if it is Mag Lula or up Lula, but it makes loading magazines easier.

It shoots good, accuracy comparable to the G23 I had, a little less recoil. I already had an Uplula; use it for my Bersa 9 high capacity. WIthout the Uplula, I'd probably only have 12 round mags. Speaking of mags, if anyone hears of a place where they are available, let me know. I've only checked a couple of places with no luck. May have to get them from Taurus.

Did you try Dad's Super Pawn or Cook's? Both usually carry a good selection of mags.
