Did some trading, came home with this...

Post by Hammer on Mon Apr 05, 2010 7:37 pm

Did some trading with SilentHitz Sunday. Traded him my 1911 for this 1911. Mine was a carbon steel framed mil spec.
This one is a stainless fram, carbon slide. Has checkering on front strap, bo mar rear sight, Hogue grips, extended slide release and safety. Came with 5 Cobramags, and one Chip McCormick mag, all 8 rounders. Shot about 40 rounds thru it today. Shot well and functioned well. I have to replace the grip saftey, as it was rendered inperable. Other than that, it is a nice Springer!

Police investigators found the marks on the door appear to have been made by a big sledge hammer, very similar to the one in his avatar! rotflmao Kidding aside, was a pleasure to meet " Da Hammer".
Good down to earth man. Glad the springer will be used for what it was built for, (comp) instead of collecting dust in my safe...and I have another springer as a base gun for future projects.

Don't hesitate to gimme a call if she gives you any problems...besides eating up your ammo.

Close, but needs a few finishing touches. I think I am goint to change the sights. Probably get a new grip safety, and let Birdsong Black T the slide.

I think I just became a comp widow since someone has to be the grown up and stay home to take care of the kids. Smile seriously though I like it. I'll stick to my XD 40 and won't fight him over who will actually claim ownership of this new toy. I think I will let him keep it to play with.

Your XD? I clearly remember going to Vans and buying the thing myself. Since I drove there, I paid for it, and I brought it home, does that not make it mine???

Might as well, give up now bro', we all know once a woman gets a pistol she REALLY likes...you can kiss it goodbye...I feel your pain though, with 2 ex-wives, and a little sister that loves guns...I've kissed a LOT of em' goodbye. rotflmao

If your wife, daughter, sister, mom and I can even include my mother in law (don't know how that happened) takes a likin to one of your's, count it as gone. Maybe she'll let you shoot it if you promise to clean it real good.

Sounds like a "staw purchase"
"Are you purchasing the firearm for yourself?" remember a question like this on the form?

Now, who owns the 40 ?
