JashimChando wrote:im on my debate team and our assignment was to make a 2 min speech of how we (the affirmative) should band hand guns in the community. could u plz give me some EXAMPLES of how its bad to carry hand guns? thank u.

The only example I can think of, is if you were a convicted felon and were illegally carrying. At that point, it is Bad to carry a handgun. At worst, he may be shot by a Law Enforcement Officer, or by a guy like me if I was being threatened by it. Hopefully, that won't happen.

As for some real advise towards your argument.... Why don't you shift sides of the debate. Stick around here, and maybe you'll see why carrying a handgun encourages people to be safer, courteous of and to others, more aware of the people and their surroundings, and to be patriots of and protectors our constitutional rights.

I'm sorry that you feel your personal rights are not worth protecting, Jashim. I must ask.... Are you American? If you were born a citizen, are your parents and family from another country? I also feel compelled to ask you if you've ever witnessed a defenseless person in a position in which their lives were threatened by someone wielding a weapon (not necessarily a gun)? And have you ever seen a law abiding citizen carrying a gun use their weapon to hurt someone without cause or reason?

Next question... Have you ever witnessed someone use a gun in self defense? Have you ever seen a police officer use his gun to defend his life and the lives of others around him? These are things you should consider before defending the "Gun Grabber's agenda".

I feel that you should re evaluate your opinion on "Gun Control", oh excuse me, I should have said "government issued control". You are welcome to stay here and learn from people who carry guns every single day and learn from us what it means to be a responsible gun owner.

If you don't support that, I welcome you to leave our group.

**Edit**

I feel this thread needs a little Ted Nugent.... bow

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

There can be no debate. This is one of ten rights granted to ALL men by God. Thankfully, our founders recognized this.

Be gone hippie troll.

It's "bad" to carry them between your teeth........

It's "bad" to carry them with those stupid pants that won't stay up on their own..... mental pic of wanna-be thug trying to conceal carry with those pants, holding up with one hand..... lol

Wow.....

Seriously I think you can approach the "affirmative" speech with a sarcastic approach and have a BLAST with it!!!!
