CORRECT -- M1917 30.06 -- Produced by Winchester and Remington. Remington opened a plant with Baldwin Locomotive in Eddystone PA and these rifles were marked Eddystone on the receiver to distinguish them from the other Remington manufactured rifles. The total number of rifles manufactured in Eddystone was 1,959,954, in addition to spare parts equivalent to 200,000 rifles. The greatest production exceeded 6,000 rifles per day, and the maximum number of employees was 15,294. When it is remembered that nearly two-thirds of all the rifles used in combat by the American Army in France were manufactured at Eddystone, the value of the wrok done can, to some extent, be appreciated; and the achievement was the more remarkable in view of the exceptional difficulties encountered in equipping the plant and securing labor and material.

Canadian Snipers: What rifles are they using??

the last guy is actually holding a no 4 MK1 (t) (i only know this one b/c i stumbled on the photo with the captian below it. Wink )

still not certain on the rifle in the first pic. The machine gun looks like a bren but the magazine appears to be on the wrong side.

The bolt gun in the first pic looks like a 1903. So does the rifle in the last pic. 2nd, 3rd and 4th pics look like Enfields of some variety.

The rifle in the 1st picture is an M1917 US .30cal Rifle .... I believe the others to be Mk 4 Enfields with the 3.5X scope ...

Damn shame that flag has become such a negative symbol to so many people. I fly that flag on most of the forums I frequent but I decided not to here. Figured Chuck Liddell could use some support after his last two fights.
