Before & After Picture from Yazoo City Tornado....

3 of the 8 Self-Help homes that my wife's foundation built. All but one received HEAVY damage.

WOW, that is amazing, so sad and sorry, hopefully insurance will put them back together and the loss of pictures and family stuff is intact.

It is truely amazing what mother nature can do ... to us!! and we have "0" control!! In looking at all the destruction, it is a wonder that more did not lose their life ...

These and other pics i've seen remind me of Candlestick park when I was a kid. Helped a friend get some stuff out of their house...with no roof. Some were only a slab, some light damage, and some with none at all.
I was amazed by the random stuff that was still standing, while everything close to it was gone...and the stuff that was driven into trees. I too am glad the death toll was not a lot higher, and pray for those who did lose loved ones...and their home.

That's terrible. I am wondering if the homes are steel framed?

I remember the one back in 92' I think that went from Florence to Brandon, I was at my deer camp and got a call from a friend and they said it went down my street and that was all me and my dad knew. we were in different cars so he said go and I took off. I think it took me 30 mins to get from Newton to Brandon. luckily we didn't get hit but I was on the fire dept at the time and we had alot of work ahead of us.
