Familiar with DAN WESSON Model 14?
Saw a Dan Wesson Model 14 in 357, 6" bbl, black, no rust - yesterday in a pawn shop.... in great mechanical condition, great trigger, very smooth, a few discolorations/blemishes in the frame.... Anybody have a good idea on a "pawn shop" price? The info I found on line says the gun is worth $300 to $350? Opinions? Is it worth buying at asking price of $300? Is it worth the time and effort to negotiate him down?

im not sure of model #s but if it is a revolver in good shape, id say it is worth it... does that one have the adjustable rear sight and interchangeable barrels?
if it does, id say it is definately worth it.

thanks Joe, it does have the interchangeable barrel config...but only comes with the 6".... was doing papers on a 9mm when I was there and honestly didn't look too closely knowing I'd be going back in a few days when it's delivered..... I'll do a much better inspection when I return....

All the DW's may be like that, but I tell ya what, mine is one of the smoothest shooters I have fired. I'd say its smoother than my dad's S&W's and it beat my Taurus HANDS down. Good luck!

Gotta agree with Joe on the smooth part, I wouldn't sell my Pistol Pack for a million bucks...ok, that's a lie LOL, but ya get the point.
With changeable barrel option, if it locks up good it's worth $300

Selling my Dan Wesson Pistol Pack was one of those stupid things I've done. Somebody out there is still shooting a fine handgun and the chainsaw I bought has been gone for years and years. The DW triggers, both single and double action, were as good as any TUNED S&W and better than any factory trigger.
