DPMS LR 308 Trigger

Post by jmp44 on Sun May 16, 2010 12:23 pm

Just bought a new LR 308, I like the rifle but has a nasty trigger! Any ideas on a drop in trigger or a Smith that can help me out?

If it is the same as an AR15 trigger, which it should be I think, there are alot of aftermarket options. Timney is one of many.

The trigger on my Colt is much smoother than the DPMS I will take a look at the aftermarkets and see what I come up with. I'm in the Brookhaven area.

Just bought the same gun. I'd be interested to know what you find / settle on with the trigger.

How about the trigger on your rifle? Any problems with yours?

I've only put 40 rounds thru it and I qualify for the definition of amateur in every way, but it feels tight. I think an easier, smoother trigger pull would help. I haven't shot a long gun in 20 years so I'm relearning stance, aim, breathing all over again!

if im not mistaken the Ar10 rifles do not take the same after market parts as an Ar 15 so you cant get anything like a jewel .

I think the trigger assembly is the same. Look into the Spikes Tactical nickel boron trigger group. It's got rave reviews and for a good price.
