Lyman Press Finds A Home
I listed my Lee Turret press on here last night and sold it today.
My plan was to order a 2nd Rock Chucker press. After looking online today I decided I was going to buy the RCBS turret press instead.
I went in Bass Pro this afternoon and they had a Lyman T Mag II for $144.99 Not being familiar with the Lyman, I googled it to check the price. Bass Pro was 3.00 cheaper than Midway so I knew it was a decent price. Decided to bring it home and just return it if I wasn't pleased.
Its set up in its new home now. The main reason I got rid of the Lee was because I really needed to be standing on its left side to use it. With the RCBS or Lyman turret press either one, I can stand on the right side and use it comfortably because there are no bars in the way.
Today I debated between the Lyman, RCBS, and Redding. The additional turrets for the Lyman are a little bit cheaper than RCBS and about 25 dollars cheaper than the redding. The only real difference is that I THINK the RCBS will auto index. The auto index feature of the Lee about drove me bonkers though. To me it was difficult to get it set where it indexed in the right spot.
Can yall tell I wanted to talk about my new purchase??????? hehehe

I like lyman equipment. It is on the pricey side. But built like a tank.

I loaded a few 308's on it today. I like it better than my rock chucker. I like being able to quickly go ahead and crimp my rifle ammo at the same time I seat it without using 2 presses or changing dies.
I may be selling my rock chucker to just buy additional turrets for the lyman........
