Lil' Hammer is quite excited. We replaced his gun today.

Ok, well as some of y'all may remember Lil' Hammer's toy working lever action saddle rifle broke several months ago. Well today we were at Bass Pro and happened to see toy gunsTwho would have figured bass pro would have toy guns). Well they had the exact same gun as the 1 he had that broke as well as a toy replica '03 springfield. Who wants to guess what he picked to replace his old broke gun?

The 03 Springfield.

Exactly! This way he has a gun to match his daddy's so he and Hammer can shoot their 03 Springfields together. He is excited to because it has a real adjustable sling and a working bolt action.

Just tucked Lil' Hammer in and he insisted on the new toy gun sleeping with him. Oh well, its not the first time I have tucked him and a toy gun into bed together and it probably won't be the last.

You probably do the same to Hammer, don't you?!

Amazingly this is what it took for him to not tell me he was scared to go to sleep tonight. Here over the last couple weeks he's become scared of going to bed for the first time ever. Tonight I tucked him in bed with his new toy '03 Springfield and instead of him saying I'm scared to go to sleep he said" No need to be scared tonight mommy. I gots my new gun." I was proud of him cause he was being so brave.
