My New Golden Boy

Post by Geaux68 on Sat Jun 19, 2010 7:24 am

I just bought a Henry - Golden Boy .22LR (H004) and am looking for the most accurate ammo to shoot through it. I know what's accurate in one gun is not alway accurate in another, but does anyone have suggestions on what type I should start experimenting with? I want to use the gun in Cowboy (silhouette) shooting.

Winchester Subsonics do really well in my 22/45. The good thing about rimfire is you can buy a bunch of different kinds to try. What is not as accurate can always be used for practice. I would try the cheap stuff first because you never know what it will like.

I'm afraid the only way for you to get an ans to this question is buy a lot of different 50 rd boxes of 22 ammo in various styles and bullet weights and shoot the gun...some 22 match grade ammo is pretty expensive also....no one can answer the question for you but you.

my 2 cents
