Ha! It actually shipped with crappy rubber wrap around pachymayer type grips... I added the cocobolo wood grips after the fact. Thanks for the compliment!

I've seen a lot of pics of 1911's. None prettier than yours-she's a beauty. Congrats on a fine pony gun.

If I could carry a 1911 at work, it would be my off-duty choice as well. Unfortunately, since I can't carry one at work, I don't carry one at all. I believe that if you carry a single-action pistol, it should be your exclusive system. Muscle memory matters (big time) when it comes to that. I really wish they were authorized by my agency. I would LOVE to carry one. Sigh....
