Its kinda hard to combine the two and both of them be really accurate

We went out with the Encore knock off yesterday and it did pretty well. The 1:10 seems to be a good combo gun. It will shoot the subsonic stuff pretty well. It likes a 180 gr round nose. It also shot pretty well at 200 yards with some regular ammo. Nonnie was there so he can chime in. I think 1:8 would be great in you were going to go subsonic only.

yeah...my 700 bolt gun is 1:12...my ar-10 is 1:10...so it only makes sense to get an encore barrel in 1:8

gotta cover all the basics!!

now i just need a can for my .45 or should i get one for a .40 (oh decisions decisions!!!!)

I am about 3 weeks away from being able to sell class 3 stuff so when you make up your mind let me know. I am in your neck of the woods pretty regular. I will work you a deal out.

The H&R is a 1:10 and with a 180gr RN at ~950fps it was doin a decent 3-4" group at 200yds with the can on it. Im sure it could do alot better since the trigger is about 18#.

I got a Savage 308 barrel thats 1:10 twist im gonna get it chopped and threaded for a can when Dockrocker gets their paperwork all straightened out.

BTW, you can get a .45 can and use it on your .40 Very Happy
Just lettin ya know..

I've got a 700 SPS in 308 win. Mine isn't the tactical version I have the varmit version with the 26 in. Barrel it's a good gun but very heavy. It's ok if you have a prop to lay it on in a stand. The main problem they have is that the barrel isn't free floating and the stock isn't made where you can easily bed it. But aftermarket stocks aren't to badly priced. I put a Simmons 3x9x40 scope on mine and couldn't hit squat and started wondering if it wasn't the gun, but after close to a hundred rounds it think I have a floating recticle in the scope. But with optics you get what you pay for.
