The guy at Hattiesburg Gander Mountain is very familiar with them. He owns several himself. I've had a few minor tweaks done there and all the work was very good.

Are you talking about Scott? Scott is who I also told him to take it to.
Re: Gunsmith for AR 15 work
Yeah I think that"s right. I'm really bad remembering names. He's a tall guy with short hair. He has actually done several little tweaks for me free of charge. If you go in during a weekday around noon or 1, the guys in the back are already back from lunch, the crowds are gone, and they have time to chat.
Of course all that is off once deer season comes around again because they'll be swamped with work again. Now is a perfect time to get in there and visit before they're covered over with guns.

What do you want to do? Most AR's dont require a smith to fool around with.

He said something about a barrel change and not having the right tool to center the gas chamber????????? That may not even be close to correct
Re: Gunsmith for AR 15 work
See if you can get your stepson to sign up here at MSGO and maybe somebody here can help him out.

Well if you're ever coming up to Jones County, PM me in advance and I'd be happy to get together with you guys and you can use my tools. I don't have a way to attach my vise to a good solid bench, so anything that requires significant torque -- well that's when I end up at Gander Mountain.

I will pass that along to him. Thanks I appreciate it.
