Re: pearlington match
Want to say a big THANK YOU to Gunny and BigSig for taking me to my 1st IPSC match. I had a blast and learned alot. I will definately put it on my calendar for next month. It was alot of fun and everyone was very tolerant of a "newbie". Thanks guys.
Also got to see Cliff shoot and meet a few other forum members.

Good match today, really enjoyed it. I wish the rain would have held off, but, it was still good even though I BLEW!!! one stage. I just can't seem to get everything to come together all at once???? Oh well............... just keep practicing maybe everything will get there one day. Enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting some new people.

Dirty, you did fine. Don't let the thought of something new fluster you. You did better than James did on his last match. MSGO had a great turn out at todays match. DB,45man,Cliff,Dirtyworks,LT.Dan,G1D,and myself. Only took a couple pics with phone but here are a couple.
Cliff just prior to a broken gun

G1D killing bad guys on the classifier

Only worse than last is DQ. He nearly got one of those, but didn't. 180 traps will get everyone someday.
45man, We'll hafta look and see if you can be found in a pic. I didn't take but a couple w/my phone. Sig's daughter took some, but I haven't seen them yet. Maybe he can locate you wearing out that new XdM.....

Re: pearlington match
It was great seeing everyone!
We started off by leaving Byram at 5:45 AM...arrived in Gonzales at 8:20...geared up....waited for the word....it was cancelled...called Tom to see if we could come shoot...he said "Come on....." So, we hit the road again headed for Pearlington at 9:15....Drove through some very bad weather as we crossed the bridge at Lake Ponchatrain....arrvied at the match a little before 11...geared up again, and finally shot...went by Tom's house for some home made-seafood gumbo that Romona had been working on. Finally, we headed back to Byram which was another 2 hours plus.
What a day.
I figured out that the over-travel screw backed in to the frame and when I was pulling the trigger, and the gun just wouldn't shoot, at least not every time. Bombed that one! A little lock-tite and it's good to go.
Thanks to Tom, and also to Chris for ROing and putting us into a squad once we caught up. I would've never shown up that late and expected to be able to shoot.
That was a long trip, but we had a blast.

Re: pearlington match
Thanks for coming out Cliff. Come on back down anytime. Bet you didn't think we'd have 50+ shooters. Sport is growing for sure.

Thank you for having us.
I was amazed when Tom told us our shooter numbers....53 and 54. Wow!

Re: pearlington match
I agree with Dirty, I thank everyone for the hospitality and putting up with the newb. I had fun and will definetly be there next month. Even tho I bombed the stages it was fun and to my defense those were the first rounds I ever shot out of that XD haha. Best way to break in a gun right? Thanks again everyone.

Re: pearlington match
Sorry I am late replying here, but I enjoyed the match. It was good to see everyone, and while the bit of rain wasn't my favorite, it really wasn't that bad and definitely helped making it one of the cooler July matches I have ever shot.
Great to meet and shoot with you Lt.Dan. You did fine for your first match. You were definitely safe and in control at all times, and better results will come with more matches, I have no doubt.
