XD Redemption

Gents,

Took the XD that I'd sworn off outta the safe again late this afternoon.

Ran another 50 through it. Took some of the pointers I got here and at XD Talk and applied them.

Didn't get Kimber tight groups, but they were much better and the left right stuff is beginning to fade out a little.

Thanks for the input earlier. Maybe I can make this XD work without losing my ability to shoot my 1911s.

Main challenge is the after creep in the trigger. Gotta work on it, but got acceptable groups at 20 & 25 yards.

BTW, make u a copy of the wheel and throw in your shooting bag,because you'll use it again. somebody always has problems and you can show them the wheel.

look further down the page and he has another thread. He was stacking Low/Left consistantly. Thread Titled "XD HELP"

I keep a different version of both left & right versions of the wheel on my laptop, and it's always in the car anyway.

i keep mine on my phone.
I'm just glad he's found somewhat of a solution and there are people to help out here. Good people at that.

50rds is a START........ You need to run 250+ rounds through your XD while doing QUALITY trigger time on each round.

You didn't "master" your 1911s in 50rds...........................

Absolutely no mastery whatsoever of the 1911 in 50 rounds.

Took years and some help from veteran shooters.

May have mastered them after 5000 rounds.

Guess I naively hoped that the 1911 shooting would quickly carry

over to the XD. Got a starting point now.

Hope it continues to improve.

Gotta get more reloading components now.
