I'd like to hear about the performance of this gun. I'm wanting a Savage .308 and this is one of the ones I am looking at.

Thank you Mildot! This is one of three I have my eye on. The biggest drawback, for me, is it is a single shot. I'd like to have a drop box magazine. What load were you using (if you can let a secret slip)?

I know where you can get a spare barrel for it if you ever have need. 1 in 12 Savage , about 500 rnds on it. Really just broke in. Came off a Savage Benchrest.
Wish I'd left it on.
