An SBS/SBR stamp is $200. It is essentially a cut down longarm with a standard stock that started with a barrel 16" or more.

An AOW stamp is $5 and is built with a new reciever and non standard stock or grip. It is built with the intention of becoming a short barrelled weapon

How does one go about the process of obtaining a permit to buy a SBR? Can you download a form from an ATF website?

Thanks

You can print of and send in a form 1 to build your own sbs, sbr,or silencer.

The serbu super shorty is only a $5 AOW transfer from a dealer but one of those will run you $700-$800.
