Pistol Caliber Carbine Qs

Im looking for a Pistol caliber carbine (.40sw) to suppress..

Ive looked at the Keltec Sub2000 but it has a really thin barrel and have to cut the front sight off and get another one and then it wont fold and lock..

Thinking about a RRA .40 16" upper, pre threaded with a A2 birdcage.. Mags are somewhat well priced..


Im just lookin for something that i can run 200gr .40s thru subsonic for a decent price..
What else would yall suggest????

I wouldn't even be mentioning these, except my brother has several of their 9mm pistols. He says they're clunky but ultra-reliable and easy to shoot (i.e. very heavy). Since the carbine is basically just their pistol built into a carbine frame, I would expect similar reliability from the carbine.

Again, I haven't shot one or owned one, but I have handled them at gun shows and liked the ergonomics. Just pointing out another option for ya.

beretta makes one is it the PX4? runs on standard high cap beretta clips

If you want to take a closer look at the keltec, your welcome to take some measuerments off mine and put a few rounds through it. At the last gunshow i asked mike smith (smiths speed shop)what he thought about suppressing one, he said he will be suppressing his soon. One day mine will be too.

Id love to see that.. im still looking around at all the options..
Im thinking the RRA .40 might be the "best" route.
Looked at the PX4 and it wasnt exactly in my price range haha, thanks tho cause i forgot about it..

... where they show "carbine" uppers and "mid-length" uppers. They're both 16" barrels, but the carbine version is clearly a shorter gas tube. So I was just wondering if one or the other is preferred when you're in a pistol-type upper. Also, I've read that when you add the suppressor, you increase pressure in the gas system, so I figured that might factor into your choice of gas system. I'd like to own one of these myself in .40 some day (but would not be trying to suppress mine).

Found out the RRA .40 isnt released yet.. Waiting on the magazines to be finished.
