Another oil rig explosion in the Gulf

According to breaking news reports, the US Coast Guard is responding to an oil rig explosion approximately 80 miles off the Coast of LA. What I don't recall is how often these things used to blow up? Maybe it is more common than I remember, but not hte sort of thing that made a lot of splash in the news until the "big one" with the Deepwater Horizon.

sumthin doesnt add up here. i dont recall a rig blowing up in the gulf ever and now its every month or so. lucy you got some splannin to do.

Y'all need to realize that it is all about the seafood industry.
The first one took away a big part, now this one is just 100miles West of the first one to wipe out another part. The People of La. must have really mad some people mad. OR it's payback for all the ones that cheated the Govt. out of money from Katrina. Who Knows, I Know Something Ain't Right. JMO.
