That's slick, a dimple flute. How mch weight did it take out of the barrel. Certainly should give more cooling surface.

I guess i'm going to have to get a new scope now...

Eight_heads is that a rimfire. If so what is it?

It's just a left-handed Savage MarkII. When I bought it they did not offer a heavy-barreled left-hand action. MSTROPHYHUNTER was willing to do the job, so I told him to have some fun with it.

Also, it shot pretty well for a fairly cheap rifle, but I wanted a heavy barrel on it. That is a Krieger on it now. Anyone have a nice scope for it for sale? Say a Weaver T-36?

What barrel did you put on it it looks good. Been thinking about getting a Savage bolt rimfire myself.

Mstrophyhunter does the savage rimfire come with the barrel nut also?

no barrel nut, it is originally a slip fit. He may have threaded barrel and receiver for me.

Here's a few of my targets from Saturday at 25yds. The rifle is obviously shooting better than I can right now. Anyone have any suggestions on how to lighten this accutrigger to about 1lb?

Wolf Match =about 0.4375

Federal Automatch =about 0.4063
All shots were loaded out of the magazine, not single-load
